There are two essential factors to consider:
– bilingualism
– your talent
The 1st is a given for some, who learned the second language from a young age. Otherwise, they would have to pay the full price out of their pocket or have to register for assistance programs for learning a Second Language (French or English, do not hesitate to contact us).
The 2nd is forged and demonstrated over time. Sometimes, while dormant, we must awaken this talent, innate or acquired, sharpen it and demonstrate it. This could be computer skills, cognitive tests, creative thinking, logical reasoning, rapid calculations etc. or even reading. All this acquired knowledge would be useful to you and would constitute your talents. You can learn more about these topics on YouTube. Because afterward, it will be difficult for you to face all these kinds of evaluations here, in the private or public sector.
The Canadian government has declared that more than a million people have been received in the territory in one year, 2023-2024. Overwhelmed recruitment agencies admit that the job market is saturated with hyper-qualified candidates that employers are hesitant to recruit for fear that they will leave for opportunities that better fit them, after incurring expenses on them to be recruited, trained, on-boarded, and employed for a few weeks or months.
The hardest part for newcomers is getting that “famous” Canadian experience; by dint of searching, many would volunteer for 3 to 6 months which would demonstrate this much sought-after experience but, without remuneration. How to pay the charges? Another problem that I will answer in my next post. Few people are luckier than others, who are recruited immediately because they were more convincing in demonstrating the acquired or innate talents (skills) or they established good relationships during networking, or they are simply “smarter or cunning” I don’t know.
